The Law of Attraction

This post has everything to do with helping you create a mindset for yourself that is built on a foundation of attracting what you want through your thoughts, beliefs and words. Many of us go through our lives with wanting certain things ( love, wealth and health), but our mind gets clouded with negative thoughts that block what we truly want.

Our world throughout history has been conditioned to focus on the negative things going on in our lives and what we don’t have, and spends little time and energy on what we truly want. The Law of Attraction is real and all of us, no matter our circumstances have the ability to use the law of attraction to get what we want in 2017.

How do you use the law of attraction in getting the job or career you want?

  1. You need to be absolutely crystal clear on what you want? Draw a picture in your mind of what that job or career looks like.
  2. You need to ask yourself is this truly what you want or is it just a passing desire. Be honest with yourself and be absolutely sure this is what you want.
  3. Draw a picture of what you want on your computer and mobile phone. Look at this picture when you wake up first thing in the morning, during the day and before you go to sleep at night.
  4. Meditate at least 15 minutes per day and focus on the picture of job or career you want, what your day to day activities look like and you receiving your paycheck in that job or career.
  5. Ask for the job or career you want. Tell your network, recruiters, everyone you know the job or career you want.

It’s Time for a Reality Check

Are in you a job that you hate? Are you in a job that you think if you just hang in there long enough, things will get better? Are you in a job that your manager keeps promising promotions and pay increases, but everytime you bring up the subject, your manager keeps saying we are working on. If you answered yes to these questions, you need to look in the mirror and give yourself a REALITY CHECK.  Things will not get better, and as time goes on it will become more difficult to make a change.

Being honest with ourselves is one of the most difficult things we have to deal with as humans, yet one of the most freeing things. When we confront the truth, we begin the process of focusing on those things that we want and can begin to build the plan to acheive what we want.

Once Reality sets in you need to do the following:

  1. Admit the reality of your situation. Once you admit this to yourself, you have taken the first step towards moving closer to the job and career you want.

2.  Develop a plan. This plan needs to give you enough of a runway to give you time (typically 1 year) and ensure you have the financial resources (1 year salary saved) to put the plan into motion and make the transition.

3.  Execute on your plan and Share your plan with your network, mentors and other important people in your life. It is absolutely critical to rely on these people when you have realized that you need to make a change.
